This event was also to signify the official launch of SMHA. The mission of SMHA is to illustrate what we feel is a possible future for all Selangorians, one that includes considerable advances in their mental well-being. The group hopes to see Selangor developing to becoming a warm, loving and inclusive society.

Jointly organized by the Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Penyelaras DUN Batang Kali, it was a carnival style event. Tents were set up and residents from the PPR flats and the surrounding houses were invited to come join in the fun and festivities. The event was opened by the President of the Selangor Mental Health Association, Prof Dato Dr Andrew Mohan Raj. The event was officiated by YB Tuan Gunarajah A/L George, who is the Ahli Dewan Negeri (ADN) Selangor. YB Tuan Gunarajah A/L George also launched SMHA with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
